The presentation will b e followed by a moderated Q and A session with the audience.\nAlison Tovar \, Ph.D.\, is an Associate Professor of Behavioral and Social Sciences in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences and Center for Health Pro motion and Health Equity in the Brown University School of Public Health. Originally from Bogotá\, Colombia\, Dr. Tovar received her Bachelor of Sci ence in Psychology from Northeastern University in 2001\, a Master’s in Pu blic Health from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2005\, and her Ph. D. from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy in 2009. Dr. T ovar was a faculty in the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences at The University of Rhode Island from 2012-2021 and joined Brown University in 2022. Her research focuses on understanding factors that shape eating beha viors early in life among diverse\, underrepresented populations and devel oping community-based interventions among these populations.
